A dog's life in Sainte-Maxime..
Dogs and cats are welcome in the mazet.
You will find bowls in the furniture on the terrace, please put them back there - cleaned - for the following ones :-)
A garden hose is also available on the terrace to clean them.
However, we ask you to ensure that the furniture and parquet floors in the rooms are respected and to take particular care when cleaning the hair when you leave.
Similarly, in order not to disturb the neighbours, a control of repeated barking is expected (will not be suitable for example a dog that barks when left alone)

Daily walks
Same as in many localities, dogs must be kept on a leash in Ste-maxime.
There are many "poop bags" dispensers in the city, but we still advise you to bring some in case of empty dispensers.
There are quite a few water points in the city and many restaurants provide bowls for dogs so you shouldn't have a problem keeping them hydrated.
From the mazet, a grassy area along the Préconil is easily accessible (3 min walk) and pleasant to make them stretch their legs (in yellow in the map opposite).
You can also go to the dog park (700m after the footbridge) where you can let him go play and run off-leash with his holiday buddies!
Dog friendly beaches
The beaches are generally dog-free.
However, dogs are allowed on:
downtown beach: part in front of the Préconil bridge (part on the far right of the page when you are facing the sea)
Madrague beach (exit from Sainte Maxime towards Fréjus)
Pointe des Sardinaux: a very nice little point for a picnic and idleness where dogs are allowed. Some areas are reserves so plse help preserve this place.
Walks in the hills
The hills around Sainte-Maxime are crisscrossed by many trails that make a paradise for trail runners, mountain bikers and walkers
Two main accesses are recommended:
On foot (1 km from Le Mazet): from the Chemin des Virgiles, km of hills for walks from 15m to several hours with breathtaking views of the Gulf of St-Tropez

By car (parking is possible): from the Chemin des Saquedes, take the Deffend trail, an ascent and a panoramic view of the Var coast. Magnificent
